How it works

01

Show up

Arrive at 10 for a full breakfast. Once The Loop fills up, Santas head to nearby restaurants.

02

Ride together

This is a social ride, not a race. Stay with the group and look out for each other.

03

Drink a Beer

We stop at breweries along the way. Have a beer or just enjoy the company. Approximate times are posted when the schedule is ready.

04

Spread some cheer

Ride. Wave. Cheer. Keep the joy rolling all across Minneapolis.

We don't publish the exact route.

FAQ

Do I need to register?

No. The ride is free and there is no registration. Show up and ride.

Do I have to dress like Santa?

Dress festive. Santa is traditional, but the photographic record contains elves, reindeer, gingerbread people, Christmas trees and stranger things.

Do I have to drink?

No. Brewery stops are social stops, not drinking requirements. Ride in whatever way makes the day work for you.

Can I join partway through?

Yes. Once the stop schedule is published, use the approximate times to meet the group at a stop. The exact riding route between stops is not published.

What if there's snow?

It's Minneapolis in December. Dress for the weather and make your own call about riding conditions and your bike setup.

Can I bring a toy to donate?

Yes. We collect toys for kids in need at a brewery along the route. Bring yours by bike, like Santa carrying presents in his sleigh. We’ll announce the collection stop closer to ride day.

Are kids allowed?

Yes. The full ride can be more than 10 miles, so kids need a parent or guardian. Some families ride with kids in Burley trailers; others join for one or two stops. Ride at your own risk and follow traffic laws.

Is this a race?

Absolutely not. It's a social group ride.
